What is Trogdon?

Trogdon is my middle name, given to me from my Grandmother. It's her maiden name, not a break off of homestarrunner.com...Trogdor!

While I was young I was embarrassed of having Trogdon for my middle name because it's so different, but I have grown to love it and have developed a closer relationship to my Grandma because of it. I have tried to go by Trogdon a few different times, but I end up having to take unnecessary time to explain the meaning behind my name.

German

First found in Bavaria, where the name Trogen was anciently associated with the tribal conflicts of the area.

Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: settlers who travelled to the New World and established themselves along the eastern seaboard of the United States in Canada in the 18th and 19th centuries.
